Sanitizing bottle

Is it okay to run the bottle in the dishwasher, without soap, on hot settings? (Hot water and heat dry). The directions on the bottle says to run it through the dishwasher on the dry setting... but what about soap? Does anyone here wash the bottle in the dishwasher without soap? Would that still sanitize?

If the water is hot enough, I'm sure it'll still work.
I just wash the bottles in the sink with hot soap & water. & I boil them once a week, or two weeks.

I put them in the dishwasher along with everything else. I use the Electrasol (SP) packets.

Why don't you wanna use soap?

Medela has bags that you can sanitize your BF supplies or bottles in... you just add water the bottles and put it in the microwave. I have been cleaning her stuff in there since day 1... you can even put pacifiers in there. The best part is each bag can be used 20 times and it only takes about a minute and a half!

I had a microwave steam sterilizer ( Dr Brown and Avent both have them)

You can sterilize in the dishwasher if the temp is set high enough. And go ahead and use soap like normal! You can have your other dishes in there too.

This was one of my favorite baby items.

I'm pretty sure it was Babies R Us... they came with the Breast Pump accessory kit. I'm sure they sell them by them selves though... they are called Quick Clean Micro Steam bags... I love them!
