Question for those who have/had preeclampsia

What were your first signs/symptoms or did you have any??? I am having blurred vision and seeing flashing lights/spots in my left eye. I am also getting super tingly feet and hands and i'm getting nauseous. I have a few other things but I don't know if that has anything to do with it like numb/brain freeze like headaches?

I get all those symptoms but have never been diagnosed with it. I've heard you have to either have protein in your urine or high blood pressure to be diagnosed... don't know if it's true. I've had neither of those though but all of the other stupid little symptoms.

Sounds like your BP is getting high. Can you have it checked anywhere? I did not have symptoms, it just went through the roof at the OB's one day.
How many weeks are you?

i was extrememly bloated
Blood pressure was really elevated
I had headaches

I didnt start seeing double or have blurry vision till after my son was born, and that was due to the medication they had me on.

Well i'm going in today so i'll see how that stuff is. I know last time I went in at 24 weeks they weren't too pleased about my urine and protein. It's just getting really bad and i'm getting it on and off all day everyday.

Sounds pretty possible. Some people don't know until it's like BAM, one day, they just find out. But... good luck.!

My blood pressurewould belike 160/98
And so i had to do the protien in the urine tests.
I also saw floaters and was swollen to the point i couldn't get my wedding ring on which had also been a little big.

when i had those symptoms my blood preasure was so high!! i had to take blood preasure meds to keep it normal

I heard bigger people get it though and i'm super tiny except when i'm pregnant then I get HUGE fast. However my sister isn't big and she had it last year with her daughter. They didn't find out till it was BAD and she was hospitalized because her kidneys or something were shutting down.

Thats how it happened to me

OP- you'll probably be on bedrest soon. You can lay on your left side as much as possible to keep your pressure down. GL

I'm 120 lbs and only gained 18 while pregnant, it's really not a weight issue

I don't know how I am going to do bedrest with a 2 year old and moving to California in 2 weeks.

If you're overweight to begin with like i was/am this pregnancy it's more likely. But with my first i was average and still ended up with it, and had to be induced.
This pregnancy i'm 25 weeks & already have hypertension and have been put on blood pressure meds.
It's def not something to take lightly.

It has nothing to do with if you are a bigger person or if you are tiny
