c-section staples

I ended up having a c-section on 10/30 & they closed my incision with staples.. for anyone who has had them how long do they usually wait before removing them? & when they do, do they put anything else on, like those steri-strips or something? I have an appointment monday & I was curious to see if they're going to remove them & put something else there or what. & does it hurt when they remove them? everyone I know that's had a c-section had stitches so I have no idea what to expect

They took mine out after 10 days. Didn't need any steri strips/ bandage or anything. And it healed very nicely.

when i had my first they took the staples out before they discharged me....

i didnt have staples the 2nd time...

I had glue used on mine. It was sweet. That stuff stayed on for 6 months.

lmao,, my glue stayed on foreverrrrr.. i was so scared to start picking at it.. my ob told me to start peeling at the corners haha! It took me a good 3 or 4 months before i did it cause it looked so nasty underneath...

They took mine out on the second day and replaced them with steri strips..They said I could take them off in like a week but I wanted to keep them on till my 2 week checkup, then they took them off, it it just tickled. The staples didn't really hurt either, the clamp they use bends the middle so it just pops out.

I had staples, got taken out at like 6ish days. I can't remember the exact time, but I'm sure they'll remove them Monday for you. They put steri-strips on mine, but I went home and peeled them off. It was pretty damn healed by the time they took the staples out.

they took my staples out the day i left the hospital-4 days after having my LO-and after they took them off, they put steri strips on it. and those stayed on for about a week. then i didnt have anything on mine...

ETA: oh and it didn't hurt when they took the staples out. but i was still kinda numb, it took me a few months before i gained feeling back in the area around my incision..

My OB never said anything about it. I finally started peeling it around 4 or 5 mo. It reminds me of the sticky stuff that is on the back of some stuff they send in the mail. If you peel it off and roll it up and put it in your nose it looks like a boogey  

Oh it doesn't hurt at all, it's just like taking out a piercing!

mine were taken out at the hospital. DIdnt hurt one bit!

I don't know when they're supossed to take them out. I had mine removed 4 days after my surgery for medical purposes but they gave me butterfly bandages after they took them out. And it didn't hurt at all.
