When can I expect to see the dr?

Ok, 2 previous miscarriages and I want to see the dr... Hard? for most probably not, but for me its taken 1 1/2 weeks and I've not even heard back from my dr yet so who knows when the actual appointment will be?

I need prenatals (chewable) since I've never really been able to swallow pills, and a calcium supplement since I am lactose intolerant and don't get alot of calcium (I was using the calcium chews before, but I'm not sure if they are safe)

Can you recommend prenatals OTC?I ran out of my prenatals (chewable/ with prescription she wrote me a 3 month for when we were TTC) today and will need something tomorrow. Eh what should I do? I've been trying to get in to physically see the dr and get a refill for over a week.

Call the office and tell them you need to have a refill prescription written since you ran out and haven't been able to get an appointment.

The flinstone chewable vitamins are a good replacement from women who cant swallow their prenatals or if they make them really sick. And im pretty sure they have ones with extra calcium in them  

or try flinstones chewables  could hold you off until you are able to get a prescrition

If you can't find any chewable prenatals over the counter you can take chewable/gummie Flintstones until you see the doctor and additional calcium supplements.

I got lucky and got in at 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 10 weeks because I kept changing OBs but most I have heard of see a patient for the first time at 10-12 weeks.

Instead of prenatals, you can take a children's chewable vitamin, like the flintstones ones or whatever. They're cheap too. My dr reccomended that cause the regular prenatal pills made me sick.

I've heard of flinstones, just wasnt sure if that was some urban legend or something. LOL. Ugh, I need a new dr.

nope not urban legend   My sisters prenatals made her really sick so through her whole pregnancy she used the Flintstones vitamins, they basically have all the same stuff in them. And her doctor actually recommended them to her.

Nope not an urban legend. They're suggested by OBs when women can't get or keep prenatals down. I took them my whole pregnancy because i couldn't take prenatals. I also took extra iron for my anemia.

wow that makes all the difference....good ol military doctors! I know how you feel i was enlisted for 4 years and went through my first pregnancy while I was enlisted. so yeah been there done that.

I had a m/c in August, I called and they got me in on the 11th of this month, i will be 6 weeks. They are taking my previous m/c pretty serious as it seems. I know how it is trying to get in with the military but I would keep calling and bugging them until they gave me an appointment. Thats what I did. If that doesnt work they have a HR person at every military hospital. Go talk to him and trust me, they will definatly get you in then. I had to do this twice when I was in and it worked both times! GL let us know

I dunno about a calcium supplement, you need to learn to swallow pills lol how do you live?

I can swallow small pills, aka tylenol, antibiotics ect. But right now the thought of swallowing anything makes me want to puke. Plus all the prenatals I've seen are like horse pills.

My doctor put my on Flinstone gummi vitamins with added cal. Cause all the other pills made me sick. And those vitamins are yummy too   I took two a day and was good. Shhhh.... I still eat em lol.
