back of my tongue is extremely sore!

i thought it was my throat for the longest time, but its the back of my tongue. it feels like there might be one or two bumps back there but im not sure. all i know is it hurts!! any ideas on what it could be?

Could be? Not to sure. Usually when I get strep, the back of my tongue hurts, and gets reallllly sore in the corners where my tongue meets my throat! Go to the ER if it's still really bothering you to get a throat culture done!
