how would you feel about,

Going to a babyshower a day before mother's day?

Some of my family is going to be coming from San Francisco.. i dont want it to be a hassle.......... oh and it'd be about an hour and a half drive to get where the babyshower will be.

so would you come? or does it depend how close (relationship wise)you are to the person.... lol... ehh i dont know what to do haha.. throw your opinions out there.

its not on mothers day so i see nothing wrong at all, i think it would be really cute actually!

I'd love to say it's fine, but my birthday is close to mothers day (occasionally falls on it) and my entire life I've had trouble getting anyone together around then. People are just busy. They are either getting ready for plans on mothers day, resting before plans on mothers day, or celebrating early because someone else already has plans. It sucked as a kid, but I'm used to it now.

thats what im scared of!!! but i cant do april because it seems like all the baby's in the family birthdays are in april... gah now im sad again lol

I would do it the day before Mother's Day. It's not on the day so I don't see the problem. I had my shower on Labor Day weekend, I was afraid people would be going out of town or making plans for the Labor Day weekend. But, everyone came.
