heart issues

This happened three times today.. my heart started racing and my chest felt weird then it stopped.. it was like a flutter type thing, is this normal?? I thought maybe it was later in pregnancy, but this early?

Ok this is a hard question to answer...

NO not "normal"
however, it is "common"

You need to let your OB know. This "flutering/racing" can be a "common" extra beat and stress from the extra blood it is having to pump through out your body.

However, during pregnancy heart problems are exacerbated (sp) and are easier to notice.

i had this happen to me a few times! my ob was kinda concerened about it at first but i told them i had had 2 ekgs done on my heart and that they always came back good so he let it slide. Just bring it up at ur next app.

thats funny cause i never noticed it since i was pregnant and it happends to me like all of a sudden goes reallly fast , then normal or seems to be offbeat. My mom is not a doctor but says nobody notices it but our hearts are not normal all the time.. anyway Its worth asking your doctor anyway. I never have though .

happens to me all the time

happens to me the all time too! I went to the ER scared and they did an EKG during the beginning of my pregnancy and it came back normal. I also brought it up to my doc and she said its cause were pumping so much more blood and the blood volume.

I had heart flutters like crazy the first couple months of my pregnancy. It eventually went away

yeah mine went away and there are some days where I will be laying down relaxing and I notice I get it again.. feels like anxiety!

I get these heart palpitations too! It'll beat super fast and then I'll feel like I cant catch my breath! It freaks me out too. I noticed it started happening when I hit my second trimester.
