about to go insane

posted 7th Nov
my LO wakes up every two hours like clock work and it's impossible for me to get any sleep... i don't know what's wrong with her, when she wakes it sound like she's constipated but she's having normal poo's. i tried quitting dairy in case it was giving her tummy problems but she's still acting the same... i don't know what i'm going to do, i'm going insane

How old is she?

If she is as old as I think she is it's normal for her to wake up every 2 hours to eat.

well since she is still so new, and breastfed, she is going to wake every 2 hours to eat, if she doesn't then i'd be worried, breastmilk digests so much fast than formula and booby babies eat less at one sitting.

Yep. Mine did it until he was 10 months and then I had to put my foot down because he was old enough to sleep through the night. He's 15 months now but still occasionally wakes up once or twice.

once she hits 12 or 13 pounds she'll most likely start taking more and sleeping more. But mson is 8 weeks, almost 15 pounds and bottle-fedbut he wakes up often too.
Theres no telling.

Oh and another thing, your milk supply as well as her growth will be effected if she is not nursing often enough which at this age is about every 2 hours. Don't try to skip nursings and give her a pacifier or whatever other people who are NOT breastfeeding tell you to do.

Just sleep when you can. We co-slept until he was 11 months which made it easier but I still was and am very exhausted....although now I have epstein-barr so it's hard to tell. lol.

You either handle it or you don't really...unfortunately. I could handle it mentally but not physically. My immune system is destroyed now!

i feed her every time she cries, b/c that's the only thing she cries for. she doesn't cry when she has a dirty diaper or anything, she's always calm uness she's hungry. but it's getting to the point where i'm starting to resent being a mother. i love her to death, i just need some time to sleep!! the days she lets me sleep, i'm as happy as can be and i love being her mother. when she doesn't, i go mad.

My son was sleeping through the night at 2 months old, but he was formula fed. It's normal for small babies to wake up so much.

yup that's the thing with breastfeeding, you have to keep it up in order to keep your supply up!
