research essay topics!

Okay so my last project before i graduate and i need help deciding!! I originally was doing single parenting vs. two parent households but i just can not find enough lititure on it. as we need to do 2 book summaries on the topic kind of thing.. and just any ideas!! That are kinda easy and straight forward. Examples would be like.. Capital Pusnishment? For or Against?, Abortion? Is it a Fetus or Not? Violence in Hockey? Part of the game, or should be illegal? Kind of thing you get the gist lol.. i just really need help =( its soo hard to think of one that i can find books on!! please help me graduate ladies!! bahahaha

so are they argue essays?

where you have to pick two opposing issues then argue each stance?

or just one issue and argue its stance

I just wrote a C&C paper on vaginal delivery vs. cesarean section. I found a ton of information and there were a lot of books too. You could do something about the rising rate of cesarean section in the U.S. necessary or convenient?

How about hospital birth vs Home births

I can even give you an interview  

I did one on the use of castor oil to induce labor...and one on comprehensive sex ed vs. abstinence only...
And there are always tons of info on abortion...

I just wrote one on vaccine issues. It wasn't what I wanted it to be because there is way more research pro-vaccine than the risks and controversies... so it was more pro-vaccination, the negative effects if we completely stop vaccination, and how parents are responsible for researching the decisions they make for their child.

ETA funny how we all write on parenting/baby issues even though the class didn't require it   it really changes ya, huh!

haha yeah.
I have to write a paper for psych on prenatal development. But I asked her if I can do it on interventions during labor and she said yes. idk...She said it was to be anything that can inhibit it from the time of conception to birth..lol

Hahaha... thanks so much ladies i love how they are all to do with babies!! lol just what being a mom does to yah!!.. but yeah i like the home birth one vs hospital and the csection one and ah the vaccination one especially with all the holla-balloo about the flu and h1n1 shot and stuff right now but ahh its soo tough i can't make up my mind!!!! lol

I wrote a paper on nature vs. nurture regarding criminals and serial killers.. but it was for highschool. It was fun to research though, I'd probably do it again if the opportunity came about.

what was you opposition on that? Thats really interesting. This is for my last highschool credit so it doesn't have to be anything huge and complex lol... i ducked out highschool year when i was pregnant and then just did it short and fast and then i went and did college now i went back to upgrade my marks so i can get into nursing school lol

I picked nature but while researching it, I think I changed my mind a little. I think it's a combination of both, you know.. an unlucky toss of the dice! It was fun.. in a morbid way. I focused on Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy. I also talked about a few other prolific murders but I don't really remember which ones now, just for the argument on both ends. There's tons of good information from both sides out there though, so it didn't take a ton of time

I remember when I had to give a presentation on the paper, I had played some Beatles songs in the background because Manson was directed affected by their music (and the Beach Boys, but their music is too upbeat, lol).
