Associate in Nursing ( Concorde Institute )

After receieving an Associates in Nursing can a person go for their RN ?
Also has anyone gone to or heard of Concorde Career Institute? Is it any good?

an associates in nursing is an RN...well at least where I live.

Once you get an Associates you are an RN.   Didn't they explain that to you? After your first year you get to take your LPN boards.

Thanks i had no clue i thought an Associates was needed then 2 years of Nursing school before you can take the Rn examination.

No atleast not yet im going to go on Monday and talk to a advisor.

there is an associates in nursing and a bachelors in nursing...both are RN's

The actual NURSING course is 2 years, and that's NOT counting and pre req's you need BEFORE you can enter the program. I'm doing that now, and I still have to take my Pre NLN's before I can even get INTO the program, not to mention sometimes there is a wait list for the course.

I've always heard about the waiting list at almost every School here. I'm only a little more than half way done with my pre req's so i doubt this meeting will work out. I just wish the adviosr would have said something before i actually come in. I was thinking The Associates in nursing was actually to finish up my pre req's because right now im a Psychology major so i would assume there's some labs and classes that are different for nursing so i thought this would be better but i guess im not there yet lol if i make any sense at all. Im still a tad confused lol

One of my BFF's just graaduated Nursing school in May. She did her pre-req's at BCC then transfered to Barry University for 2 years of Nursing school where she also did clinicals, etc. She saidyear was the fun part because it's alot of hands-on work. Now she's working at Palmetto Hospital in the ER. I would just talk to the counselor and see what they say. Are you going for an A.S. or an A.A.? I know she had to take Anatomy & Chemistry with labs.
