uti

I know this is the wrong place to post this so sorry in advance. So I went to the hospital last night do to contractions. They gave me meds to stop the contractions but they said I have a sever uti. They didn't give me anything for it and told me to drink lots of water and cranberry juice. My kidneys are hurting so bad though what can I do to help the pain now. It hurts to the point I don't want to even move.

They can give you an anitbiotic to help. But tylenol for the pain.

I have a UTI right now, and they gave my antibiotics. You may want to go to your doctor.

why didnt they give you antibiotics? even if it's mild one you should ALWAYS take antibiotics, its harmful to your baby.  

I can't get in to see my doc till monday. I googled uti during pregnancy and it said it can turn into a kidney infection so now I'm worried. I don't get why they wouldn't give me meds if its this bad.

The nurse said they don't like to give meds when your prego but I know many ppl that meds while prego for uti

i would change doctors, thats ridiculous. you ARE NOT supposed to have infection in your body while pregnant. you NEED an antibiotic.

U need antibiotics. If it goes untreated not only could it do you harm but it will like trigger labour

     Definitely see another doctor that one should have his liscence pulled.

I didn't see my actual doc. I was in l and d and they called the on call doc. I was going to call the office but I will probly get the same on call doc so I don't think it will make a diff. I tried tylenol and its not helping either

i just found out i have a UTI too and they gave me meds for it.. but it doesn't hurt like you say yours does. they should probably give you the meds to make it go away. but i have a question for you..it might be tmi.. but do you get blood in your urine when you go to the bathroom? because it's been happening to me the past couple days and my doctor says its just the infections but i think theres more...

I don't think I had any blood but I didn't get any symptoms until yesterday and today. I have never had it before either so I don't know if that is a symptom. Sorry

blood in your urine in normal when you have a UTI.

I get that every time I have a uti, it really is normal.
