Cough Drops?

posted 7th Nov
Is it okay to take cough drops when your pregnant? I've had a sore throat/annoying cough for the past couple days now and I bought cough drops at the store, not thinking anything. And now it says on the back of the bag, that if you pregnant, you should ask your doctor before taking. I dont see the harm, but thought I would check.

If your worried, try a life saver (sugar free) or any sugar free hard candy. It coats your throat in the same way

I was told by my first OB to avoid menthol in anything...cough drops included. I took cough drops when pregnant, but not Halls or anything mentholated.
