What can I do? Help!

I've been breastfeeding my daughter since the beginning and when I was overproducing I pumped a lot of extra milk that I froze for later. Well, lately my production has dropped significantly at the same time her feeding amounts have increased. My problem is that now I don't produce enough milk to satisfy her! She drains both breasts and is still hungry! And I have her so trained on the breast that she won't take the bottle that I'm offering of thawed milk. Please help! I've tried everything and my nipples hurt so bad from her comfort sucking when i know that she can"t get anything out! What can I do?

Breathe darling-she isn't going to starve I promise you-been there before plenty of times.If she is really really hungry she would drink from the bottle-she probably senses your stress, and with stress your let-down can be slow.Try giving her a couple syringe fulls (you know medicine dispensers) and if she gulps that down then perhaps she is hungry and just keep trying to get her to suck the bottle.

Pump as much as you can when she is not eating so your milk will increase and use lots of lanolin ointment!

Continue to pump pump pump. Its supply in demand the more you pump the more you'll make. Try pumping every half hr. Wake up in the night and pump. Even if you only get very little its training your breast to produce more. Its very stressful and alot of work but it will pay off. That the best advice I got while bf and I hated it and didnt think it was working but after a few daysI was go to go. For sore nipples try (Underly Smooth) you can find it in the baby section of walmart or target its in a cow like container , its made for cow nipples but its also for human use it was recommend to me . Its so much better than Lansonal.

Go ahead and let her nurse even when you're empty. It will cause you to produce more milk anyway  

It's great for her to keep sucking (even though it hurts) because she's telling your body that she isn't done. It'll get the clue here in a few days! Your milk is just trying to regulate and sometimes can drop off a bit before it figures out where it needs to be. Stress is a bad thing for it though, so try not to stress about it. Take a nice warm bath while nursing her or a cup of Mother's Milk tea. I drank the Mother's Milk Tea and it helped a lot with getting my supply back. Hang in there!   She won't starve, like the other momma said, if she's really hungry she'll drink from the bottle or a syringe. If she refuses it, she may just be comfort sucking.
