Rash? please help

posted 7th Nov
So i cant take my daughter to the dr until monday so i thought i'd ask here. She has what looks like a rash on her back, arms, legs but only on the back side not her front. If that makes sense. There are a few small red bumps all around her rash but not alot. Mostly you can just feel the bumps but cant see them very well. We've tried putting lotion on, baby oil but they dont seem to help and it seems to be getting worse. We first noticed it a few days ago but didnt think anything of it because it just feels like dry skin. But its gotten really bad now. Any idea what it may be? What can I do for her?

oh and this may or may not have anything to do with it but she woke up with a REALLY bad rash. So I put some diaper rash cream on it and changed her about an hour ago and it looks worse. There is some open sores starting on her bum   Looks soo painful. Right now shes happy though crawling around with no diaper on and that seems to help.

Has she had any new foods? Any new medicine? New Vaccines?

Did you change soap recently?

Sorry for all the questions... just trying to figure out what it could be.

Try giving her a bath and rubbing her down with (no sent) Moisturizer
(And not the crap stuff) Try cetaphil or Vasiline intensive care etc.
After that put petroleum jelly (plain vasiline) on top of it. Dress her in cotton and see if it goes away, if it does she has a small case of eczema, If not she could be allergic. Let her soak for 10 minutes (Without baby soap) Maybe just baby oil in the tub but DO NOT even take your hands off her she will slip under the water and will be super slippery so be careful and watch out .

Another thing If it gets worse wash he off again and take her to the hospital. If they have to do swabs in the areas she cannot have anything interfearing on the skin so just a heads up

No new foods hasnt had any medicine since beginning of Sept. I havent changed her soap. And I did forget to say that yes she had 3 shots on Oct. 15. These ones:
MMR3
• Varicella (Chickenpox)
• Meningococcal conjugate

and we first noticed her rash last friday when my mom was down. But like I said I thought it was just dry skin

After i put moisturizer and put her in cotton how long before it goes away if its eczema? And if I put her in the bath tub with baby oil is it okay if she tries to lick the water?? She does that everytime I give her a bath

It may be from the chicken pox vaccine. I remember when my daughter received the vaccine you can get a slight rash after for about a month.

Let me find the link I had from the cdc. brb

Mild rash, up to a month after vaccination (1
person out of 25). It is possible for these people to
infect other members of their household, but this
is extremely rare.

I would try and make her not lick the water lol But its baby oil so im sure it wont hurt her.
I would do that and wait about 1-2 hours and re-check. If it hasnt gotten worse put her to bed and check again when she gets up. If it is getting worse try and take her to a doctor because it could start an infection if she rubs it too much and ETC.
