My 14 month old son has had diarreah for the past 3-4 days. He is going about 5 times a day and the color varies from yellow to dark brown/blackish. Since it has been going on for a while, should I take him to the doctor?
Today he seems to be really crabby and irritable. I feel so bad for him. I know his bottom is raw and chapped. I feel so bad for my baby.
If I do take him to the doctor it won't be til monday cause I am definately not going to take him to an immediate care facility.
Any other suggestions?

Make sure he is getting plenty of liquids!!!

He is, he drinks lots of water and he still breastfeeds some.

Plenty of liquids, and use a barrier cream like A&D on his butt. The pedi can't really do much, so just make sure he's having enough wet diapers.
