Weird pains
posted 7th Nov
So I know this is really lame but so many Doctors suck this far north (probably cuz anybody good doesn't want to be here) that I'm faced with three option - those who aren't taking new patients, those who are exceptionally arrogant, and those who don't really want to spend time on me and need me to tell them what I want to have done for me. So I'm looking for some options that I can suggest to the walk in clinic doctors. Any suggestions would be awesome, especially if someone out there can identify with what I'm feeling. I've asked some other ladies already and they were really helpful, I'm just broadening my horizons so to speak
So I'm now almost 11 mos pp and for the last 3 wks I've been getting what feels like a very minor version of - for lack of a better term - phantom birthing pains. Like I can feel my perineum and cervix and occasionally feel a very slight urge to bear down, nursing cramps, back cramps, etc. I've tested multiple times and it's very much negative. I did have a uti a couple of weeks ago but I was tested at the end of it and it showed that I was totally normal with the exception of spilling a little protein (+1) I thought maybe the pains were related to that but when my lab tests showed up clear I was no longer sure what to make of the pains. I've also noticed that very occasionally I get such a sharp and substantial pain in my right side just in a bit and above my hip while trying to have a bm that if I don't put counter pressure on that part I can't even go. Someone suggested to me that it could be an ovarian cyst, and someone else suggested maybe something intestinal. Both of which I'll bring up to the doc, I think I'm gonna ask for an u/s. I know it sounds weird to say that it feels like a minor version of birthing pains but thats really exactly what it feels like, I kinda feel off my rocker! Any suggestions for things to look for would be awesome.
