When is it to much

posted 7th Nov
After you are checked I know you can spot for a few days which is normal but I got checked about 45 mins ago and have already filled up a light panty liner. I never have spotted before and now after the nurse checked me in L&D its about like my periods were. Is this much normal or too much?

at this point in your pregnancy it's probably not really just spotting anymore. i would say that more likely it spurred on some bloody show, which may mean that labor is coming pretty soon

Whenever I was about 38 weeks, my OB checked me and I bled from 2 p.m. that afternoon until around 11 p.m. that night. I called my doctor and she told me unless I was contracting, that everything should be perfectly fine. I lost my plug that night as well.

well losing your plug is a sign that labor could be coming within the next 2 weeks, and bloody show generally means just a few days.

i know with my first i had my bloody show 2 days before he was born. i didn't have any bloody show with my second at all...ot even while in labor.

You'll be okay. Unless you're bleeding a ton, I wouldn't worry about it. It's pretty normal to bleed like that around this time in your pregnancy. I was 3 cm whenever it happened to me as well. I still didn't go into labor until I was almost 41 weeks.
