"Well I Tried, It's Not My Fault"

I swear that's all I hear out of SO's mouth "Well I tried".

Today around 3pm he calls me at work and asks "are you hungry?". I said "yeah but we don't have any money for food and I forgot to pack a sandwich so I'll just buya bag of chips or something out of the machine". He tells me he went to Red Robin today with his family and his Dad bought him lunch, and they gave him the wrong burger and he only took a bite, and then they got him the right one, and let him keep the wrong one. He didn't eat it, and was bringing it home, and he said he'd bring it to me. I said great, and that I really appreciated it, and I would see him in 15 minutes (that's how far away he was). Here it is now 5pm, and he never showed up! I just called him and said "Hey what's up what are you doing?" and he said "oh I'm changing the baby, why?" and I said "oh I wanted to make sure you weren't dead or anything" and he says "no, why would I be?" and I mentioned the burger convo and HE FORGOT! He got off the phone with me and went home! The burger is in his backseat and he totally forgot to bring it to me! I was like "well I was waiting and didn't eat lunch or anything because I thought you were coming, and now the machines are locked up". He says "Well Vanessa I don't know what you want me to do, I tried, it's not my fault". WHAT!?

Ugh... men.

wow that was mean he should have said I'm sorry I'll be right up to get it for you but yeah I know what you mean, men they just don't care sometimes about anyone but them damn self. Well I hope you get some food soon I hate being hungry lol

I'm out of work in an hour and a half, but seriously, he thinks he "tried" because he called me to offer to bring me lunch... and he gave ME an attitude because I was wondering where it was! LoL. I'm such an AWFUL girlfriend.
