Giving birth with baby still in the amniotic sac?

posted 7th Nov
Ok so the other day I was just browsing online looking at different things about pregnancy. I had happen to run across this page with home births with videos on it. Well for some reason I clicked on one of the vids and no sound came out must of been my comp. but anyways this lady was giving birth and her water wasn't broke and out came the baby still in the amniotic sac. I was very weird to me cause I never heard about anyone giving birth without having the water broke or breaking on its own. Once the baby was out the midwife broke the bag and out came the baby. It seemed healthy from what I could tell. I'm mad cause I wanted to send the link to my aunt who didn't believe me but it's no longer in my history and now I can't find it or figure out what I went through to get to it.
Have any of you ladies heard of giving birth like that? I wonder if its safe. I didn't even know that was an option, I mean if your water didn't break on its own.

hahaha back in the old days that used to be an indication that the baby would be physic....or at least that was what my grandmother told me.

I bet my son would have been born like that if the Dr. hadn't of broken mine. I was 10 cm and ready to push and my water still hadn't broke.

Yea that's the one  , I just watched one on youtube that was pretty cool. So if my water happens not to break could I ask for my child to be born in the caul? or do you think the doctors at the hospital will just go against my wishes and give me reasons not to do it and what not?

More then likely they will break it saying something like 'its not good for the baby' or something like that

My second baby was born like that. I got to the hospital at 8 am and was 6cm dilated, 10 minutes later I was screaming I had to push and she was born at 8:34 am. Without my water breaking and without them breaking it. I had step b so they wanted her to remain in the water as long as possible since I wasnt able to get my antibiotics before she was born. As soon as she was born they broke the sac of water and gave her too me
