What now?

So I just got a letter from my OB/GYN saying he was certifying in something where he teaches natural planning and he will no longer be prescribing birth control, implanon, mirena and all that. He is pro-life so he wants to teach people about the certain times they can get pregnant and all that fun stuff. Well i want pills i dont wanna be taught this stuff(well at least not right now). I dont know what im going to do. I dont want to switch doctors because he is an awesome doctor, i guess i could always switch to one of his brothers. Anyone else been in this situation before?

A doctor is allowed to do that? lol.
I'd switch, that's stupid. If you want birth control so be it! ha.

Yeah and i only have one refill left. Ugh!

My doctor doesnt even priscribe me pills, I go to the heath unit. I dont know, maybe switch doctors or find a health unit or something that can priscribe them to you.

That's weird they can choose what they will and wont prescribe people...

I like my dr's office because I know who's hands will be going up my vag.

My office only hands out certain oens, but still provides bc. i dk how he can just say no to it and force people to do natural family planning.

Hes not really forcing anyone to do anything. Noone says his patients have to go t him

It sound like he is trying to pull some crap out of his ass to make it so he can have more business. Like he wants more people to get pregnant. I think this is a total violation of a woman's right to choose. He most likely will get in trouble for this.

It is bull crap, i should be able to choose whether to use birth control or not. Im going to call his office monday and talk to them and find out what the hell is going on. You cant just stop giving birth control and expect women not to get pregnant. I cant take that chance.

 

I dont see why he would get in trouble. Noone is forcing women to go to him and Im sure there are other OBs around the area
