you can buy a shampoo in the store if you want, I just took mineral oil and rubbed it on her scalp and let it sit for half an hour and then used a fine tooth comb to get off the scales.

The same the other mamas said... I took baby oil put it on Zoe's head and left it there (a lot of it) for about 20 min and then washed her hair. Make sure to get it all out! This will take a few times... ALSO I was under the assumption that it was from drying out and you were not supposed to wash the babies hair every day; well from doing research I found it is the just opposite!

Zoe's skin gets dry if I give her a bath every day so I do baths every day then wash her hair every day... This has worked for me! Hope it helps!

you can use Olive Oil, too, if you have it already in the pantry and don't want to go to the store

you can use oil but really, just leave it alone. its natural and common and happens to most babies. it only bothers moms for cosmetic reasons.

When Trevor had cradle cap I would wash his hair and leave the shampoo on til I was done bathing him. Once he was all nice and fresh, I would put a teeny tiny bit of baby oil on his head and comb it through.
