I really love that name.

Who cares if people can't pronounce it. Half the people I meet pronounce my name wrong.

*shrug*

It has the same sound as Saige, right? The long A? I like it... especially with your daughter's name being Saige. I guess I'm by myself.

MAEVE

Gender: Feminine
Usage: Irish, Irish Mythology
Pronounced: MAYV[key]
Anglicized form of the Gaelic name Medb meaning "intoxicating". In Irish legend this was the name of a warrior queen of Connacht. Her fight against Ulster and the hero Cúchulainn is told in the Irish epic 'The Cattle Raid of Cooley'.

o.m.g. really. if this many people hate it I'm so already over it. But my husband is set on it. I would pronounce it like Mayve--close to Saige with the A sound. I am a teacher and i hate looking at kids names and they are like LSIMNG and its really like Sara. I hate when you don't know the way to say it right. When i first had Saige some nurse at the dr's office actually called her: Sah-gae..i mean are you serious?? Its just like Paige with an S. I don't want my child going thru life constantly correcting people how to pronounce her name. So thanks for the brutal honesty

Is Saige old enough to help pick her little sisters name? I was advised to wait until I see my baby to name her
