Regular Strength VS Extra Strength Tylenol

I was told in my first pregnancy that all I could take was Tums and Regular Strength Tylenol. Does anyone know if Extra Strength is HORRIBLE to take while pregnant?

I have a horrible headache and am seriously nauseous, unlike my first pregnancy, I can barely function at this point, and all I have is Extra Strength Tylenol.

Um... I was always told to take extra strength while pregnant.

I was told extra strength was perfectly fine to take.

I took it while pregnant,you'll be fine.

It doesn't matter since you can take enough regular strength to equal extra strength. Just watch your mgs and you should be fine.

Weird..lol...I was so paranoid my first time around so I didn't eat tuna or hot dogs or take anything other then reg strength Tylenol and Tums, this time around I'm not so paranoid, but doesn't hurt to double check.

How many MG's are safe, each of these are 500mgs. They are the EZtabs...red and coated, easy to swallow...

Lol, I was told not to eat hot dogs, lunch meat, & a whole bunch of other things but I did last time & this time... We're all fine  

Extra strength tylenol didn't work for me early on in pregnancy & I had terrible headaches for over a month... my doc prescribed tylenol 3 & they still didn't go away so I had to get an MRI done

It's the same exact thing as regular strength Tylenol. Just RS has 350 mg of Acetaminophen and Extra strength has 500 mg per pill. I had really bad headaches in my first trimester and I would take 1 extra strength and if it didn't change anything within an hour or 2, I'd take another. I asked my midwife if it was okay and she said as long as I'm not taking 3 tylenolESwithin a 12 hour period.

Ah okay, so only 2 a day basically...(seeing as how I'm sleeping between 9pm and 7am)

It varied for me, normally I'd take 1, then if my head still hurt or my pain was still there after 20 minutes I'd take another... & if it came back I'd take another dose when I was able to.

I always took extra strength when I was preggo, i think its fine.
