How much time to you actually spend with your children/child?
and i mean, actually playing with them, coloring, reading to them etc.
Not just being in the room or at home w/ them... I mean quality one on one time.

I'm interested in talking about this w/ anyone that wants to!

I have 3 children so I have to jugle time. but I get a couple hours a day per child to be with them.

I'm lucky I am a stay at home mom and get plenty of chances to spend time with my kids.

I am home with Jaxon everyday, the only time I'm not hanging out with him is when he's taking his nap or asleep for the night. Shawn is always working & Jaxon gets bored easily so I can't leave him to just sit & play alone... I'd say roughly 6-9 hours a day gets spent playing with him... & I love every minute of it! When Shawn is off of work though, I lay around & do whatever I want & let my boys hang out. But Jaxon gets his mommy time 5-6 days a week.

Way more than three hours.

im a stay at home mom so i spend all day with my daughter...she helps me do the dishes, cook dinner, grocery shop, play outside, color, watch her one movie a day...she is involved in everything I do and always has her own special job while im cleaning something lol

I wondered this about other people as well. I feed him, change him, and hold him and play with him but I cant get EVERYTHING done when he is sleeping so I will let him sit and look around and entertain himself sometimes.

ETA: more than 3 hours here as well

I work AFH. The boys are in DC from 7:30am till 4:30pm everyday. We get up at 6 are out the door by 7. As soon as I get home my oldest is saying he's hungry. I start cooking dinner & feed the baby at the same time. At 6:15 I give them a bath if necessarry then Ry gets to watch tv while I put Spencer to bed. at 7pm Ryder goes to bed. It is very busy, but I wouldnt change a thing. I enjoy every evening with them.

How is that even possible, if you feed them 3 meals a day anddress and bathe them thats at least an hour right there.

thats like the saddest thing ever - I would be devastated if I only spent an hour with him a day...

I think being a SAHM definitely has an advantage here, just because we're home 24/7 w/ our kids.......... i was just curious what the average would be.....
I'm glad to see so many that spend so much time w/ their kids, I am w/ both my kids all day as well, but sometimes i feel like i don't spend enough time w/ my son, just because I have a lot of things to do around the house & there are some things my son can help me w/ but for the most part i like to do it myself so i get it done faster..... also having a newborn, takes up a lot of my time, i'm so tired all the time, & i'm on the computer a lot (even though most times i have BG or something else opened but not at the computer the whole time) but i'd have to say i spend at least 3+ hours a day, just doing whatever he wants, somedays it's less, because we'll be extra busy that day..... but i try my best to give him mommy time... i guess i'm feeling like Kaden isn't getting mommy enough lately.......

I know people that don't spend much time at all with their kids it is sad  
But a lot of people work a lot... so i'm sure that has something to do w/ it..... i can't see a SAHM saying she doesn't spend at least an hour playing with her kid.....
