okay i woke up this morning with a horrible pain in my back/side accompanied by cramps in lower abdomenand it has not subsided since. the weird thing about it is the pain is only on one side and no matter what i do it stays, my cramps/braxton hicks/contractions(because i dont know)however arent close enough to time. But the back/side pain is killin me, im just waiting for my SO to get here and take me to the hospital just to make sure. ANY INSIGHT? what do you think it is? labor or just horrible horrible back pain?

Go get checked for a uti, it's probably that if they aren't timeable and at the same time they may just put you on an nst to be sure (always reassuring). If a uti goes unchecked it can lead to labour.

I would guess just horrible back pain. Have you tried getting on your hands and knees and arching your back up like a cat? That always helped me...or maybe a warm bath? Let us know what they say at the hospital!!!

That's a good idea. If the baby is on your spine then that would relieve the pressure and consequently the pain as well.

Could very well be your pelvic bone or hip being slightly out of place, and the baby being on it.
That happened to me.
And i had told my Dr., my pelvic bone is completely out of place prior tomy pregnancy, could this create any future problems?, she told me certainly not, and she was WRONG!
I know a few women who have had to have their children Cesarean because baby was stuck on their pelvic bone and couldn't pass through.

When i was in labor, i had to have 2 epi's and i still screamed the entire time, i was in such miserable pain.
My poor little man came out with a black and blue head and had awful breathing problems and had to be monitored because he had been stuck on my out of place, pelvic bone and had to be pushed passed it, that's why an epi did nothing and why my little man came out all bruised!
This is just my personal experience, but maybe have that looked into.
Best of luck mama!

maybe not a uti but a kidney infection or even a kidney stone!

well i went to the hospital and they said i was having irregular contractions and that the back pain wouldnt go away it will only get worse. which is all good and well because its still too soon for her to come out. but when the nurse checked my cervix she accidently stripped my membranes, i was bleeding right after and when i got to put my clothes on i bled threw my underwear and down to my pants, then i changed and bled threw those underwear too. is that too much bleeding or regular?

did you tell her? If she knew then she is liable for not telling you doctor. When I started bleeding like that after an exam it turned out to be a placenta previa. This a fine condition to have as long as it's known but can cause big problem if gone unrecognized. Definitely see a doctor asap about that because if it is a previa then any strong contractions could potentially be a risk.

i asked her ifthe blood was okaybefore i even put my clothes back on, and she was like oh yeah thats normal with a regular cervix exam...so i just believed her, until i bled threw another pair of undies then i was a little worried...later on that night when i took a bath a piece of flesh came out of my vajayjay it was about a half inch long not too large but im pretty sure that isnt normal.

i am no longer bleeding now, and my regular appointment is on thursday so i will let my doctor know what happened for sure.
