Chicken Pox.

I'm pretty sure Addison has chicken pox. We are going to the dr at 1:45.
I'm freaking out... my grandma cannot be around people who have the chicken pox.
Because she'll get shingles(sp?) & last time she got them it almost killed her.

BLAH!

Weird, I've never heard of Chicken Pox causing someone else to have a Shingles outbreak. I hope things get better soon.

It can, I get Shingles outbreaks since I had the chicken pox vac when I was a kid.

Yeah it causes my grandma to have outbreaks.
she got shingles in her eye & it went to her brain i THINK it was something along those lines.
But she cannot be around chicken pox at all!

I've had shingles too but didn't have an outbreak when my daughter had Chicken Pox. The doctor had told me that her having Chicken Pox wouldn't affect the Herpes-Zoster lying dormant in my body.

I had no clue it really could.

That's scary. And I thought shingles on the vagina was painful...

ya Chicken Pox can cause Shingles. If someone didn't have the chicken pox by the age of 20 I believe the Chicken Pox will turn into Shingles and can kill someone. Im not going to give my son the vaccine however unless he doesn't get chicken pox by the 3rd grade pointless to give him a vaccine for a disease that could just make him ichy and uncomfortable for a few days and will never catch it again.
