re: Drying my milk up

Jen, I believe I saw a milk drying tea at BRU one time. Oh, btw, we are down to two!

And Maddie says quack quack now!

Screw the cabbage leaves. They stink and they get limp in like 10 minutes. Do this;

1. go to the store and buy some SUDAFED...the original one from behind the counter...not the new pseudoephederine free version. Use it according to the package directions..if you can get extra strength...do it.

2. Also take ibupofen or naproxin sodium(Aleve) to releive inflammation(only if you do not have allergy to those or another reaction issue)

3. Buy cold packs and apply them on a semi regular basis throughout the day.

4. wear a snug fitting sports bra or two if you can handle it

5. Avoid too much warm water.

6. Express the tiniest bit of milk out if you need to relieve the pressure but not more than a few squirts. Do this a little less each day...this will help with the gradual lessening of your milk every day.

I used cabbage leaves and ace bandages. My milk was dried up in 3 days.

The sudafed is a great idea!
And if you're thinking about going on b/c the regular old pill can help too.

i was also going to suggest sudafed...it can dry up 50% of your milk

Long time no talk =D Anyways if you can't stop it from flwoing using natural remedies call your OBGYN and they can give you a shot that stops milk production.

I weaned elliot down to once a day and then had to go out of town for an overnight...Im mostly dried up now without any engorgement.

Yeah Long Time no talk!!! How are you? Can you believe our babies are ONE??? OMG time flies! When you having another one? LOL! I have to wait a few years if Mike will give in then... We will see.

Oh BTW my milk is pretty much gone my boobs are still lumpy but they have shriveled up like raisins! Ugh! But it took about a 7-8 days but only painful for 2-3 days. Thanks girls!!
