gah I hate this

posted 7th Nov
I have been freaking out a little the past few days since all of a sudden my baby who was very head down in my cervix decided to flip and he is stuff head in my ribs and I am terrified of him not flipping back. I have a heart shaped uterus and have been told by my doc that if he doesn't flip soon he probably wont since the room is getting really small for him

I called to talk to my mom because I'm upset and worried about it. She straight up laughed at me like I was telling a freaking joke. She thinks its hilarious that I was so sure he'd stay head down (yeah like me hoping he would is a bad thing) and she thinks its soo funny he isn't now.

She had TWO perfect pregnancys she worked up until the day before she had me, she pushed twice with me and my brothers labor was easy. I've had a rough pregnancy been in and out of the hospital the whole time. Almost lost him at 20 weeks because of my preterm labor and heaven forbid I dont want to have my baby cut out of my stomach!!! I have a very natural birth plan that I want to be able to do. A womans body was made to push a child out of it. Is it so bad I want to experience that too?......

argh I never really talk to my mom she lives in a different state but she is comig for thanksgiving.... this is going to suck

I'm so worried about it   I really hope he does. did she flip on her own or did you do any techniques?

Seriously, find a good chiropractor in your area who is experienced with prenatal Chiropractic, and talk to him or her about the Webster technique.
It has great success with babies who wont turn.

our medicaid covered it with Addison, 12 visits a year. And Jay's work insurance covers it now.

I'd find a chiropractor and talk to them. They will know what they can get away with as far as insurance goes.
And sometimes they will have a sliding income scale for self pay, in the case your insurance wouldnt cover it.
It's not like you'd need to go a ton of times.... usually just a few.

does this sound like if I get a referal from my ob it be covered? I'll call and ask for sure I just haven't slept yet and my brain isn't computing lol

Spinal Treatment, Chiropractic and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy

Benefits are payable when provided by a spinal treatment specialist in the specialist’s office. Covered Health Services include chiropractic and osteopathic manipulative therapy. Benefits are not available if treatment ceases to be therapeutic and is instead administered to maintain a level of functioning or to prevent a medical problem from occurring or recurring

It sounds like if it's therapeutic, meaning you have an existing problem which needs treated, it's covered.
Meaning if your baby is in fact breech, you can see him for treatment to try to turn the baby.
But not just for regular preventative care. Which sucks, because I swear my regular adjustments while pregnant kept me comfortable and pain free through all 40 weeks, as well as helped my labors be quicker and easier.
But it's sure better than nothing!
