Labor Story ( long)

Miss Veronica Paige was born Thursday November 5 at 10:57pm.
I was set up to be induced on thursday, called in the morning to make sure it was still good to come in. I wasn't in the books, I started crying.. Finally that got sorted out. We got to the hospital by 8:15.. They set up my IV after 3 failed attempts it finally went in. ( soo painful) this put us at a little after 9am.
My midwife was delivering in the room next door, finally she came in to check me. I was 1 1/2cm and 70% effaced.. ( not very good progress) Tammy broke my water and started pitocin immeadiatley.. that was 9:45. My cervix was all the way back by my spine so I was warned this would be a long day. I got up and sat in the rocking chair once the contractions started, I was steady at 2-3min apart almost immeadiatley. I made it 4 hours before I asked for somthing for the pain.. I was barely a 2 then so I was given a shot of nubain. It was wonderful. Then about 5pm I was checked again I had dialted to just over 3cm and was screaming in pain.. I had tried rocking, bouncing on the birthing ball, getting up on my hands and knees and hubby and friend took turns rubbing my back thru the contractions. I got my epi, it was great for about 4 hours.. Then I began feeling pains on my right side. Hubby had gone out for a ciggy.. While he was out they checked me I was at 7cm finally! I asked them to take a look at my epi, it looked fine.. But i was in so much pain... About 10pm my put me back up on my hands and knees to get the baby to turn and drop the last little bit.. I was having no pain releif at this point.. I feel sorry for any women on L&D that had to listen to me screaming.......... 10:30 I started begging to push, everyone kept yelling no no not yet.. poor hubby was crying " baby you can't push yet.. you got to wait for tammy.. Finally she came in, took one look and said " turn that girl over! Theres a baby RIGHT there!" I flipped myself over one leg was still hanging off the bed when I started feeling as if I was going to get sick, They handed me a dish just incase.. I started heaving(sp) and felt her head drop right in.. Somone snatched my bowl away and I started screaming at them.. I then promptley got sick, and out popped baby girls head, no pushing. I pushed once for about 15 seconds and first shoulder was out, then one more little push and baby was out. I was crying hysterically, so was hubs and my mom. They told me it was the cleanest and fastest actual delivery they ever saw, midwife or the nurses in the room.
Miss Veronica weighed in at 7lbs 14.8oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. She looks exactley like her sister at birth except for the dark brown hair like daddy.

She is breast and bottle feeding as of right now.. the boob alone just doesn't keep her satasfied.. .. But other than that she is doing wonderfully.
