Got a prescription for Mirena yesterday at my 6 week ppcheck up.
havent got it in yet ...

What are your ladies opinions?

Me too, especially since I'm getting a divorce.. and Don't want to even try for another kid till I'm married again..a nd I don't even know if I ever want to get married again :S
I'll probably just keep getting IUDs until I can't have kids anymore and start adopting lol.

But its just so carefree. Its the best   lol I'm so glad I don't have to worry about the shot, pill or the Nuva ring etc :S

It didnt work for me (well, it worked, but didnt work out for me)... I had it in for about a year. First, it was very painful going in. I had terrible cramps all of the time, bloating, weight gain, kept getting bacterial infections, yeast infections, AND my husband could feel the strings (he called them thumb tacks) lol. I lost 10 lbs within 2 weeks of getting it removed... so, i dont know if it was water or what. The good news is you can get pregnant immediately afterward... which i did, less than a month later! LOL

i want this but have heard bad stories on here about it. maybe try searching the threads already posted to get more information and if you get it, let me know how it works out 

I have had mine for a total of 4 years. Never had any issues, love it. Its not going to work for everyone, just like any other birth control.

Its kind of painful cramping while its being put in, and a few days after, depending on your body. I got it in June and about a month ago, i started getting really bad acne. I love it other than that. But just remember you may have different side effects than other people or you may have none. You'll just have to wait and see how your body tolerates it.

I tried it but the doctor punctured my uterus when he inserted it, so I can't really say whether it's good or bad, but it was one hell of a painful experience!

I hope it works out for you . I had it put in about when my son turned 1 and it came out within a week and half, I wondered if the Dr. put it in right, I didn't find it painful just uncomfortable. Then I had a second put in and that one had to be taken out b/c I fainted and got sick (nausea and temp) so they took it out after about three weeks , I so wanted it to work for me cause it was convenient and stuff but it didn't work out. After my next baby I want to try the Nuva ring. The pills are a pain in the ass and the shot is not for me, though I hear alot of girls like it.
