Sexually compatible

So a friend of mine and I were talking about our sex lives. We're both pregnant, she's 5 weeks ahead of me. Anyway, we were discussing how her and her DH rarely have sex. I at first assumed this was because she is pregnant and just not up to it. She then informed me that she feels like sex with DH is a chore. She said on average it takes DH 45 minutes to get off. There is no such thing as a "quickie" for him. She said she feels that they aren't really "sexually compatible".I was a little taken back, because I've never heard someone say that before in reference to their husband.

So now I'm curious, how many this is the case for. When DH and I first started dating and were using condoms it would take him at most 20/25mins. I would get irritated, because it doesn't take me that long so I would literally lay there thinking "could we hurry this up?" I could never imagine sex always being 45mins long. DH and I now being together for 2 years can have a quickie that literally takes 5 mins if even. Sex without a condom never takes us longer than 10mins to both orgasm. We have sex at least 4 times a week. If it took 45mins I don't know that we would ever have sex lol

So, how long does it take for you and your SO and how often do you have sex?
Would you marry someone who you don't feel you are sexually compatible with?

i would NEVER be able to marry someone I wasn't sexually compatible with. that connection is an important part of our relationship.

And both hubby and I can go quick or we can take our sweet time and make it last  

On average we probably have sex three to five times a week.

I can definitely identify with your friend. I don't feel like I'm sexually compatible with my SO. I think that he probably *could* go shorter, but sex with him is always an ordeal. We're at it for an hour at a time and I dry out, it's painful, I'm tired, etcetera. He'll just keep on chuggin like it's totally okay, even though I've told him he needs to finish.

It REALLY is an issue for a relationship, silly as it sounds.

me and the hubbs... go at it at least 4-5 times a week (usually when i put the baby to sleep) he usually takes about 10-15 minutes on average but if were trying for a qickie like up to 5.... and i could never be married to someone im not sexually compatable with... sex is wayy too important to me lol

It depends on how we feel. We can go in 5 mins or we can last for an hour or so.  

I married someone who usually takes forever to cum, well maybe to me thats what it seems like. Maybe 30 -45minutes of sex. And if we haven't had sex in over 2 days he comes right away. I never thought about sexually compatability until I saw this post. Maybe we aren't.

wow, I couldn't handle that. It would be a major issue in my relationship too. Sadly, I def. wouldn't have married him if that were the case. Sex is way too important to me.

Ha we couldn't last for an hour if we tried. We'd have to use condoms and stop a couple times to achieve an hour.

Lol. It's all about the control. And we don't use condoms anymore. Only on BC.  

I could never marry someone that I'm not sexually compatible with.
Sex is a huge part of my life.

My SO and I can go anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour.
He can go WAY longer, and we have before when we first started dating.
But I HATE long sex, and get bored after I've got off numerous times...
So, sometimes if we're both feelin froggy can last an hour or if we just go at it before bed it can take 10-15 mins max.

I love our sex life and I love how much self control he has!   ha.
We have sex 2-3 times a day.

At least in your case your capable of both. I really wonder about the ones who CAN'T do it in less than 45mins. Makes me wonder if maybe they just don't know what it takes to please themselves. When you're sexually comfortable with yourself and your partner I don't think it should take that long. You should both know exactly what hits the spot and how to make it happen. It just seems weird to me lol

i'm probably the only wierdo but i don't mind gettin booty for 30+ minutes  . when me and the hubs were still in high school we could go at it for 2 hours (i know... crazy, but damn was it wonderous, hahaha). now that we're older if we can make our sexy time last an hour we feel accomplished,  . but, if a quicky is all we have time for then it only takes us both about 5 - 10 minutes  . if we wanna be buck wild and go all night we'll have the lube on deck and he'll pace himself. it's tiring, but man... i don't think i'd ever stop enjoying sex with my husband   don't get me wrong though, there are moments where i'm thinkin', "ok... let's wrap this up", but ultimately the sex is fantastic.

I guess I just have a short attention span lol I don't have the patience for a half hour or more of sex. I can Orgasm 3 or 4 times in that 10mins and then I'm usually tired lol
