Pressure in pelvis

posted 6th Nov
So, I'm not really sure if my baby has dropped yet? He has always been low throughout my whole pregnancy. For the last two weeks, I have been feeling pressure in my lower abdomen and pelvis. Whenever baby moves, I get sharp pains in my vagina. Whenever I get up off the bed, couch, floor, etc. or even walking, I get this painful pressure? Is it bc of the baby engaging? Or maybe bc the baby might be big?

Probably your baby dropped. But in a couple of weeks he will *really* drop. It's pretty uncomfortable at the very end.

Have you decided what to do about your doctor wanting to induce?

Could be baby engaging.. is there a empty space under your ribs now? and can you breath again??? the pain is from the presure of the babys head on the cervix..

This Wed. is my next app. so I'm going to tell him if he's not going to be there to deliver my baby, I want him to refer me to someone else who will be there. I was considering being induced there for a little bit, but I started worrying that my baby might not be ready. It's been making me really nervous just thinking about the things that could happen if I did let him induce me.

Last wednesday at my app. I measured a full 40 weeks. I still have trouble breathing bc of my weight, but it's not near as bad as it used to be. I also haven't had heartburn that bad, just once in awhile, and its not as bad. I can feel my baby's butt about 4 inches about my belly button, his butt hasn't ever been really high up. I've never really felt him up to my ribs this whole pregnancy.

I know what ya mean! I have the same thing...I've been feeling that for the past 2 weeks, and sometimes it hurts so bad it brings tears to my eyes. I haven't dropped any, however I am carrying a big baby. My doctor said it's common to not drop as soon as others when your baby is big. Anyways, I've been having to get growth ultrasounds each week for the past 3 weeks because I have gestational diabetes. My ultrasound this week shows that the baby weighs 4300 grams...Last week it said the baby weighed 4100 grams...ANYWAYS, I'm getting a c-section next Wednesday...2 days before my due date
4.3x2.2= 9lbs 4ozs!!!! Which like my dr. said the ultrasound could be off a little bit, but she doubts it's off by much since we've been watching each week.

Not trying to scare you with statistics, you've seen them. Most of all, I just firmly believe that babies come when they're developmentally ready. Even though my baby was 2 weeks "late", he didn't come out all scaly and fat. He was tiny! Almost 9 pounds, but really little.

I started feeling selfish for thinking about getting induced that early. I'm uncomfortable and want him out, but I'd rather be uncomfortable until he's ready, then have him have something wrong with him and him having to struggle with something.
