The dog: Bald or No?
posted 6th Nov
Last year my husband saw this dog on craigslist, he said he HAD to HAVE it. So I went out and bought if for 300, told him it was his dog, that he needed to care for it. That I would help him if he asked. Not that I don't like dogs, I just really don't like this dog.
I still help my husband out most of the time with this dog, I trim his hair during summer, feed him, etc. I'm nice to him, def not unreasonable. Anyways, he's a King Charles Maltese, which means when his hair grows, it grows. And pretty much my hair cutting of the dog, shuts off around November/October. My DH wants the dogs hair to grow out, so I told him, "Ok but that means you need to brush him so he doesn't get nappy dreads"
DH is notorious for putting things off, and he's always had an excuse for not brushing the dogs hair, he doesn't feel up to it, oh he conviently lost the brush, etc. So I've been trying to help him out within the past few weeks, found the dogs brush, I've been brushing him, but pretty much it's to far gone the dogs hair has excessive dreadlocks. I told him it's time to find a groomer and have them shave the dog or save what they can.
DH is trying to save money, he doesn't want to admit that he did something wrong(we all know how men can be), so he has the dog clippers out, and he's cutting the dogs hair(this is the first time ever he's done this), and I think he's starting to realize just how hard my job is. I keep hearing, "Tye I can't shave your butt when you sit down," "Ok I'll just cut the other side then" "We're almost done Tye I swear" "Tye you look so pretty" "I don't know why mommy complains about giving you a hair cut, this looks so good." and the funniest "I think daddy needs a treat for all this work too"
I've been ordered to sit back and watch, I'm not allowed to say anything, so this is pretty funny for me, I wonder what bald spots the poor dog will have or not.
