how old was your baby when...

they got their big kid beds?

we had to get rid of aidens crib because it was broken and now he's sleeping in a playpen and its pretty cramped, so we we're thinking about getting him a big boy bed, but he'll only be 18 months. do you think thats too soon?

My son was 3 1/2
my daughter just got one a couple months ago and she's almost two
Rachel will be staying in it til 3 1/2 or when she climbs out (whichever comes first)

We switched Jaxon at 12 months. He's almost 16 months now. We haven't had any problems.

a bed is better than a playpen. Do it.

My daughter fell out of the bed a few times when we bought her toddler bed.

not mine...he's 19 months and when I lie him down, I'll check on him over an hour later and he'll be in the exact same position -- absolutely no m ovement!

you know you can still get the car bed and buy the bed rails to put on the sides like a crib

well i just saw with aiden, he fell asleep on the couch for about an hour and layed in the same spot, but its diffrent in his bed.
i have a feeling its due to how uncomfotable the stupid play pen is.
because when hes playing and stuff, he'll find a pillow and just lay on it because its comfortable..

well this one is just like a fancy bedframe, and it has 2 small rails on each side, but the only thing that concerns me is that if he does go to the other side, theres nothing to stop him from falling..

i'm sure most of my worries are just silly and me not wanting aiden to grow up. but i still worry

oh yeah i just went to see the car beds online... i will never put my daughter in a big girl bed cuz she moves sooo much she sleeps with us and when i wake up shes by out feet or laying sideways...but if u think hell be fine do it then hell get used to it

well honestly..that's all my daughter has ever had, a play pen to sleep in...
she's only 10months but i never bought her a crib because i live with my parents still and she's in my room, cribs are too big..
anyways...i have like 2comforters and a puffy sleeping bag to make it more comfortable for her...
but i was wondering the same thing..when she outgrows her pack-n-play i'll be getting her a bed and buy bed railings...

I'm getting that bed tomorrow! I found it on kijiji and i'm kind of nervous. The only reason i got it is my son is so close to climbing out of his crib. I figure i'll just put him in for naps to start and slowly get him used to the idea. Plus that, my crib is beautiful but no matter what is done to it the damn rail always squeaks and wakes him up when i'm raising or lowering it.

we put Summer in a twin bed a little after she turned 2 and she had so much more room and was so comfy. Now my problem is she keeps waking up have Dora and Wonderpets dreams, so random!

Ethan was in his just before he turned 2. My sister put my nephew in a toddler bed just after he turned 1 cause he was climbing out of his crib every night.
