Quoting Julian's Wife:“ I really hope it works. It sounds like he really needs help. If he's been having bad dreams, I'm sure ... [snip!] ... everyone. That would mean reporting him hitting you or any threats he makes. If you just keep it a secret, nothing will happen.”
Quoting Just Call Me Babycakes:“ I'm bawling my eyes out, i really don't wanna think that i've lost him, the real him forever.”
Quoting Just Call Me Babycakes:“ I'm bawling my eyes out, i really don't wanna think that i've lost him, the real him forever.”My husband had PTSD when he got back from his second deployment. He never took anything out on me, but he wasn't himself for a bit. He was mainly just depressed and having all the bad dreams. He talked to a therapist about it once or twice. He also ended up talking to some of his friends who had it. Just talking about everything seemed to do the trick for him. He still has nightmares sometimes, but he's back to his normal self. Obviously, your husband's PTSD seems to be worse than my husband's was, but if he gets the help, he can be the real him again. Make sure he gets it somehow.
