Quoting Julian's Wife: I really hope it works. It sounds like he really needs help. If he's been having bad dreams, I'm sure ... [snip!] ... everyone. That would mean reporting him hitting you or any threats he makes. If you just keep it a secret, nothing will happen.”

Like i said after i told him flat out if he continued to walk off it'd be over, it was like a light went off in his head and i had my josh back. I think counseling is exactly what he needs, i think he can get better. I'm praying he can at least.

If you can get him help, soon, he may be able to work out his issues. The longer you wait, the worse the outcome could be.
Im not trying to scare you, but if something really bad happened to you or you saw some fucked up stuff... How would you handle it if it replayed in your head multiple times a day and you could not control it or yourself?
Time will only make that worse. He can be helped. The sooner the better.

My husband had PTSD when he got back from his second deployment. He never took anything out on me, but he wasn't himself for a bit. He was mainly just depressed and having all the bad dreams. He talked to a therapist about it once or twice. He also ended up talking to some of his friends who had it. Just talking about everything seemed to do the trick for him. He still has nightmares sometimes, but he's back to his normal self. Obviously, your husband's PTSD seems to be worse than my husband's was, but if he gets the help, he can be the real him again. Make sure he gets it somehow.
