Well, I got married when I was 23 y/o and my biggest advice would be to communicate with your SO and to cover all the important topics before you get married so there are as few surprises as possible. You also have to work together as a married couple and it should be a partnership.

I'm engaged but in no hurry to get married...to me it is a HUGE commitment that I'd feel better about doing after waiting a few years.
I'll probably start leaning more towards it in the next two years, so around 22 and he'll be 24.

It's hard, finances, communication, trust. Love isn't everything, love won't make a marriage last forever.

I was married at 23 (exactly 2 months before my 24th birthday).
My biggest advice for any couple who is planning on getting married, is to go to premarital counseling. We had to, to get married in the Catholic church (we aren't religious, but I wanted to do that to honor my parents wishes) and it was the BEST thing I could have done for my marriage. It teaches you sooo many things about conflict resolution, love, the whole works. It was invaluable, and though I thought it would be stupid, it was truly priceless.

compromise, treat each other like you did when you were infatuated with them
just be nice, think about each other before you make decisions. Makes you feel respected.
I have been married to my DH 9 years in Feb!

...I can only think this is a fake profile..
Your 20 with 8 kids? I wouldn't want to marry into that disaster.

I was married when I was 22...
my advice is to not kill each other while you are planning the wedding you will be fine lol...I don't know how many times DH would think of some crazy idea for the wedding that we didn't have money or the time to make it work and he would get so mad because he just didn't understand!
o and something IS going to go wrong the day of the wedding...at ours it down poured and we live in the freakin desert!!!! But it cleared up just in time for us to have the ceremony and take our pictures and then it was down pouring again. The chairs where wrong but they were white and people could sit on them lol. And my grandma harrassed the poor florist and so she didn't have time to finish decorating the tables the way she had planned to (they turned out beautiful) O and our wedding cake was so not what I showed the lady i wanted but it tasted AMAZING! lol

I got married at 20 and hubby was 21. We've been married 7 years now. We've had our ups and downs, but we were so imature when we got married. Now we are of course way more mature and handle things alot better. IMO I will be telling my kids to wait until they are in their mid 20's to get married to ensure the maturity level is there. I will also tell them to wait and have kids since we had our 1st when I was 18

Marriage is like a job... you both have to work at it... it isn't always easy, but it's rewarding. Talk about everything... don't let secrets tear you apart. Pick and choose your battles, and learn when it's best to bite your tounge. And, everyone needs encouragement--your mate especially.
We've been married 2.5 years (a few months after my 18th birthday, and he was 21), and dated for 4. I love my husband, and our marriage works.

Yea, we had to do that as well and we had to do something called an Engaged Encounter..I was not thrilled about it at first but it was so fun and was so helpful..we realized just how much more we were meant for each other..I still have our books that we had to write in about all marriage topics..he and I both spilled our guts out and I am keeping them as memories to look back on
