That's what we are trying to do.   I've seen how hard marriage can be by watching my mom. She got divorced after 14 years of thinking she needed him, and not really being happy. That is why i am asking for advice for things to come so i am not one of the people who have 2 or more marriages.

That's great you guys are already working on it. Honestly, that's one of the biggest things. Hubby and I still need to work on it, but we're leaps and bounds better than before. Learning to communicate with one another has really helped us.

Ya it came to that crossroad we either talk it out, or give up. It was one of those long crying session's that both of us were fed up, but yet still wanted to work it out. Haven't had one since, but it's so hard not to nit pick everything he does sometimes. I also learned we are gonna annoy the hell out of each other, but when we get to the point of being mad we need to talk about it. LOL

I've been married going on 4 years now. My biggest advice is don't expect the beginning to be a fairytale. It's actually the hardest time I think, cuz your still getting used to each other on a constant basis. Even if you've lived together first, being married is just different, but great. Also never let your family get to involved, even when they are just trying to help. It can make a real mess of things. But being married is the greatest feeling in the world. Even when I'm cranky and his snoring makes me want to suffocate him, I can still look over and smile and think, that is my best friend for life! Good Luck mama
