how much was ur fetal scan?

I was laid off recently and have started a new job and my new insurance not started yet, Iam starting my 18th week of pregnancy and now have to pay out of pocket for the fetal scan 18-20weeks did anyone have to pay for this ultrasound yourself if so how much?

well, i have had other ultrasounds (on different body parts/organs) and they were both $246

550 bucks. My insurance was lapsed since we were switching over to Cobra. I thought it would be like 385...but no, 550.

Why dont you just wait until your ins picks back up to do it? It is not uncommon to have the 2nd trimester ultrasound later in the 2nd tri

Im also worried my new insurance will have an extension clause when it comes to already being pregnant and make me have to wait like 30 to 90 days to cover any part of the pregnancy but I heard the fetal scan needs to be done between 18and 22 weeks at the latest.

You can do a payment plan with them. We paid some up front and did a payment plan and then resubmitted it to our insurance company to pay once we were covered again and we didnt pay anymore on it and are waiting for our refund of some that we paid upfront.

have you thought about applying for medicaid? They would cover it...

yeah I have I make to much for medicaid and I don't qualify for any low cost plan through the health department my old doc whom I loved wanted 3g upront before they would see me, and then whatever delivery was. my SO got laid off last december and has had trouble finding work since......so this is just a kick in the butt...

My insurance covered mine but the form I had to sign said it was 445 I believe.
