your experience with the mini pill

Okay so I'm exclusively breast feeding   And I seemed to have just started my period (I'm 6 weeks pp)...

The doctor prescribed me the mini pill so I can continue breastfeeding uninterrupted..HOWEVER I've heard from a few people that it decreases your milk supply? 

If thats the case I'll stay off b/c and buy a butt load of condoms cause I'd rather my daughter keep getting the boob...

Any experiences with the mini pill? 

Also- Maybe I'm crazy but I didnt think while you were breastfeeding you were supposed to get your period? Am I just one of the "lucky" few lol?!

i cant offer advice...but your LO is so precious!

It made my cousin completely lose her supply. But I hear that doesn't happen that often.

Any birth control can mess with your milk supply in one way or another.

uggh, this makes me not want to take it, but I realllllly dont want to be pregnant again anytime soon..

i took it after my first and had no issues

and on another note, my son is just a couple of hours older than your little girl

I used the mini pill for the entire time I was bfing, I never had any trouble with it. My daughter breastfed until she was 1 and weaned herself straight from boob to cup.

he needs a swift kick in the ass for the way he's been lately. i can think of a few ladies who would be happy to do it for you  

I started on the mini-pill but opted for condoms after a few months. It made me a little nervous--I was convinced I'd be the exception to the rule and I'd get pregnant because it wasn't a full dose. My doctor said she worried about the same thing--but she was on the mini-pill and breastfeeding and all was good for her.

The pill didn't really affect my milk supply. Initially it might have, but my baby didn't seem to notice.

And even though I was breastfeeding I still got my period like mad. I think that breastfeeding as a form of birth control thing doesn't apply to me at all.
