Aw, poor baby.   My old neighbor's son was like this. His dad had nothing to do with him and he ended up calling any random man "daddy". I felt so horrible about it. (All men except my then-boyfriend. He would chill with me when I babysat, since we lived next door and I would always call him "Honey"....the little boy ended up calling him honey, lol.)

my grandma is a minister, and when i was like 15, i called my brother stupid, and she insinuated that it was sinful, and then told me i should come to live with her so i can learn how to do things better or some crap like that

its like seriously? i believe in Jesus, and God. im not as strict as some religions, or as the bible. i dont think im going to hell because i had my son before i was married, or because when i was younger i shoplifted, or because ive envied someone before.

i just believe in trying to do my best to be a good person and repenting if i do something horrible. there are some religions that are just too ridiculous with rules.

my family used to go to a baptist church (we still do sometimes, the preacher guy is realllly nice), but it was so stupid, they said my 8 year old sister couldnt wear SHORTS.

my son hears people calling me Faith because thats my name, and now sometimes if hes in bed or something and he doesnt want to sleep, hell say "mama" like 30 times, and then he tries to get my attention by going "hey faith!"

See, I'm very open minded and I honestly believe that people should have free will. In my own personal life, I'm very conservative. I dress in what most people would consider conservative (well, most of the time). I'm conservative when it comes to my relationships and what I deem acceptable for my own family and my own relationships, but I feel like thats my own decision and what I feel most comfortable with. I think everyone should live their life how they want.

i mean, there are a few things that i adhere to, like, dont murder people lol. but in general, i believe free will is something everyone is entitled to.

it just drives me nuts, because i see families, like those people with 18 kids on tv, and they live their life pretty much EXACTLY how God wants them to, and theyre sooooo happy!
i consider myself in the middle.
im religious, but i do break the "rules" sometimes (sex, etc. ) and i honestly think the people who are happiest with their lives are people who either completely ignore any religion and just live how they want, or people who strictly follow their religion. since im in the middle, im always alil bit anxious about doing the wrong thing, and stuff like that.

This is what I see as well. My friend Jane is in your shoes. She's had a pretty traumatic childhood (her father was a preacher, he ended up cheating on her mom and went and had kids with 2 or 3 other girls who are only our age.) And she's struggling to find a happy balance between her faith and what honestly makes her happy. I understand completely that her faith is important to her, but she's been so jaded by it also where her father is concerned. She tries to be a good person (and she is!) and she also tries to do what makes HER happy....she just struggles with a happy medium, and I think that's what a lot of people struggle with.

i looked into other beliefs and religions a while ago, and i just feel like im happy with my own personal form of Christianity.
i think everyone needs to have their own opinions. if everyone did things exactly the same, the world would be a really strange, boring place.
