Madeline Jo is cute, but I would honestly give her something more substantial to stand on in the middle. Maybe something like Josephine or Joy?

Well, my Grandmothers name was Joanne and I want to name my child after her in some way. I cant use her middle name because it's pearl, and I can't handle that. lol Her 1st name is Jo so I can use Jo, Anne, or Joanne, I think Maddie Jo is cuter... I dunno. Or Maddie Anne maybe.... What you think?

Popluar? Yes. Trendy? I think not. Jo is a bit dated, but still. The difference between popular and trendy is this: Names like Madeline have always been around and will always be around, they never actually go "out" of style. Something like Madison is trendy because it's only recently started to be used and WILL be dated in the not-so distant future.

Nah, not really. There are certain names that are always about. (Elizabeth, Emily, Madeleine...) They're never really gone out of the picture. They come and go in terms of popularity, but they're staying classics. Things like Madison and Avery on girls is trendy right now and won't have the staying power that the classics will. It's what sets apart the trendy from just the popular.
