when did you get rid of the binki?

I was wondering when you got rid of the binki with your LO and what is the best way to go about doing this I was thinking about trying to start weaning her off the binki this month but I have people telling me to wait until we get back to the UK cause we're going to "need" it for the flight?

My daughter never took the binki. But I agree i would wait until your flight because I hear its good to suck on things due to ear popping.

my son uses a binky but as far as a flight we just had him eat at take off and landing, (cheerioes or his bottle) and he seemed just fine.

oh my goodness i though you said bikini as in a swimsuit. lmao!!! but momma i think you may want to wait until after your flight if its not to far away because a child sucking on a pacifier helps their ears not to pop and stuff...

We fly back home December 17th

I'm not real sure when but I thought my sister had a good method, when she started weaning her lo after every nap she would go get Hannah and before the left the crib she would have Hannah say bye bye to the binkie and Hannah got to throw it back in the crib, kind of made it fun for Hannah cuz she like the throwing part, she would tell her that she could have it back at her next nap... after a while Hannah got to the point where she didn't "need" it and got to throw one by one into the trash...

id try to wean her off and have her only use it for comfort until after the flight. that way even if she gets scared during the flight she will have it to comfort her
