re: Preparing for Baby...what should I have?

so far we have a baby bath that will last until the age of 2, a little baby blanket, and an awesome diaper bag thats actually a bookbag that came with a changing pad and a place to stick the dirty diapers and wipes.  

we're not getting anything else for a couple weeks. on jan 11th we're going to find out the sex. After that we'll know what colors we can get, and do lots of shopping!!!

this is my moms (she's 61) first grandbaby (my brother is 37, im 24), so after she finds out the sex, im pretty sure she'll max out all her credit cards going crazy shopping.

you're not supposed to use baby wipes on newborns because of the chemicals and stuff, so some people prefer to just use a wet washcloth until they are a little older, but Huggies and Pampers have sensitive wipes specifically made for newborns  

About diapers...My mom works for a marketing research company. They have many of the big name companies as their clients. If any of you have a Costco by you (it's just like Sams Club), their Kirkland brand of diapers are HUGGIES diapers. Yea....they are made by the Huggies company, same diaper different box. I do know this as a fact or else I wouldn't post this on here.

Also, the Kirklands wipes are very good. And sensitive. For the first couple of months, that's all we could use on my little one. Everything else made him break out. I think they may be Huggies as well but not sure

I'm just sad because we are just about out of the Kirklands diapers (my MIL) gave them to us. And we don't have a Costco near us!

so far my glider/ottoman has pretty much saved my life. Even though when you're rocking while you're pregnant (with everything sloshing around in there) you get a little "sea-sick". As of yet, its really the only thing I'd be devastated to loose. That and my pretty pink carseat.

SO does sams club have them also??? Cause my g-ma works there and she would be able to get me some. But that would be awesome. I am glad I looked in this post cause I didnt know alot of this.

My mom isn't home until late tonight, but I will call her tomorrow and ask for you. I bet if they're not Huggies, they have to be some other name brand. Costco and Sams Club are so identical. I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

Why am I so emotional that it brought tears to my eyes to see someone quote Bethany!?  

i live in north carolina but im moving to philly after graduation so i was wondering is a basinet as safe as a crib because i dont want to have to travel with so much stuff

Mom told me she's not sure...so sorry :-(
But I bet since the two places are so identical the Sam's Club brand is most likely a name brand like Huggies.
