well she's not here yet but i have a feeling that the SwaddleMe infant wrap is going to be a lifesaver with helping her sleep, judging by all the reviews on it.

definately get a boppy pillow! even if you have no intentions of breast feeding they come in handy, especially if you have a large birth weight baby.

You know those little activity centers made for children who actually open their eyes and move their hands? Well, w/ my son I had a c-section, and just felt awful the first six to eight weeks after bringing him home. So, I would camp out on the couch, lay him on his little activity mat on his back, hang his toys from the link-a-dos on the A-frameactivity center (there was one that would light up and play music), and drift in and out of sleep (meds will do that). I continued this practice, even when I felt better, because I felt he was learning from his own experiences. Now, he's two, and just loves to figure things out for himself. So, my advice, especially if you're having a complicated pregnancy, is that, along w/ a place for the baby to sleep, a swing/bouncy chair, a good baby blanket, monitor, and carseat: Get him some toys to hang above his head.Though that advice is based on my own specific experiences, I feel it wouldn't have been a bad idea for me to start out my parenting like that. I got the opportunity to learn from him about his learning style.

If you want to go the All-in-One route, my sister uses Fuzzy Buns. She likes them the best.
The CHEAPEST thing to do is get some diaper covers (according to my sister you only need a few), and some chinese prefolds. Just while they're really small then move up to the All-in-Ones and you can use the newborn size prefolds as inserts...so it ends up being cheaper.
Anyway...that's what my sister says. LOL. She has five kids, and she's a great mom, so I trust her judgement.

The infant swing. HALLELUJIA!!! get a good one too, we used the fisher price ocean wonders one, it's big but sooo worth it. We got the graco travel one first, it swings too fast, wears out batteries in lightening speed, and it was soo loud! The ocean wonders one was the ONLY way I got sleep 80% of the time the first 3 months.

I like the nursing tank tops better than the bras. They're awesome.
