WELL THE MOST THING YOU NEED IS A CAR SEAT,AND THAN GET A BABY SWING THEY PUT THE BABIES TO SLEEP THEY R THE LIFE SAVERS FOR WHEN WE NEED TIME FOR OUR SELFS.

Definitely a bouncy seat and swing for little ones and a jumperoo or exersaucer for older babies!

From my experience if you have a boy Huggie's are the absolute WORST diapers, they leak EVERYWHERE!! Soo annoying, totally fine for girls though as I have one of both that was my experience. I'd yea to what everyone else is saying that a vibrating chair and swing. I'd also say maybe a little carry around basket for the first few weeks with diapers and wipes and q-tips and vaseline, diaper rash cream, lotion, fingernail clippers, alll the little things you can keep in one place so you're not running to different places to find them if the baby is crying or something, i don't really like changing tables so that's what i do. also some places have this whole assortment kit of infant medicine like tylenol and mylicon. I know it's at wal-mart.

Burping cloths...extra socks just in case your lil one decides to kick them off while your out and about....nasal suctional...and a head rest for the carseat, as well as a screen to put up on the window of the car if your windows arent tinted.

yeah i heard that they turn the wipes brown and u have to put water in them and that they dont actually keep the wipes warm

When should I actually start buying stuff for the baby.?.. I'm only 12 weeks. I'm thinking that I should wait until I know what it is first.

it will be hard (trust me) but wait until u know what it is ...it will be alot easier but u could also get soem cute stuff here and there that are for both boy and girls...

All you need is boobs, love, and a couple of clothes..the rest will come.

We got a bassinet. We also have a crib that my husbands great grandmother baught for us. However we don't have space for it right now. We all have to move in January so we figured a bassinet would be perfect (also so that I don't have to worry about leaning over a crib rail while recovering from the delivery and all that. LOL.

How many newborn nappies should I get? I have a pack of 35 but I really have no idea how long they're going to last.. any averages I can go by?

Yeah, I like your approach. All this worrying over what to get, and what if I don't have the right things.....It's driving me nuts just thinking about it. Sometimes people need to remember just to keep things simple.  

I totally agree with the diaper thing. I've already got 4 packages... different sizes.

I'm also NOT going to have any diapers in my diaper bag when I go to the hospital and I'm gonna tell them I don't have any. Most hospitals will give you a few packages. Another thing to do when they bring in a pack of diapers while you're staying there, take a few from the pack each time and put them in a bag. Not too many though because they usually have you document how many diapers the baby goes through.

I bought my cloth diapers and covers on www.cottonbabies.com. I use ones that come with an insert and the ones you fold up yourself and just need a cover to go over it. They have tons of great information on how to use, fold, wash, etc. and what you need depending on what kind of cloth diaper you're using. Good luck!
