Starting Solids Question..

Ok so my son is a hair over 4 months old. We've gave him cereal a couple of times and he seems to like it, but im not really ina rush to start him on a real schedule yet lol. I dont know if its because I dont want him to grow older or what, but hes doing just fine with my boobies and formula at the moment.

Anyways, what kind of schedule do you ladies do when it comes to starting cereal right away and at what age did you start giving him the good stuff (banana's, etc...). Im talking about 1st step stuff. Is there a website that can help me make a schedule?

Beechnut and Nestle Goodstart both have feeding schedule things.

wholesomebabyfood.com is a great site..gives sample menus and schedules and what not. With Grace, she started stage 1 foods about 4-1/2 months..first with sweet potatoes..and I did new foods for at least 3-4 days to make sure she had no allergies and then tried a new one..did a few veggies first then tried fruits so I could mix it with cereal at times. I did not give a whole lot really..I did once a day for a little over a month then about 6 months when she started stage 2 foods, I started 2 meals a day, then at 7-1/2 months or so started 3 meals a day and right b4 9 months started introducing her to table food completely..

Sweet! Thanks   I never really thought I'd delay cause I was really excited about him eating foods and whatnot, but now the time has come and im not so much in a rush lol

its always good to educate yourself so it's np! We all decide what works best for us!
