How much does your newborn sleep? Maddie sleeps all the time and she barley has her eyes open probably about 15 min. each day.

My question is when will they not sleep as much? Will it be when there 2 weeks?

Depends on the baby I suppose. They say newborns can sleep 16-20 hours a day. My son still sleep ALOT during the day and through the night and hes almost 2 months

Enjoy it while she sleeps that long. My daughter is 5m and only naps for about 2 hours during the day, but sleeps through the night! Cherish it. I miss sleep so much.

See my daughter is lazy she sleeps morning and night and a little wake up here and there to feed but we try everything to at least wake her up but she wont do it. Shes a lazy baby.

rylie slept pretty much all day and all night as a newborn also. she didnt stay awake for long periods of time untill she was like 2 months

all babies sleep alot when they are newborns. its normal for them to be sleepy

Yup, they are doing alot of growing!

every baby i so different when it comes to sleep.
my son will be 6 weeks tomorow and only startd being awake more this past week. before that he was literally sleeping 23 hours a day. now he's awake here and there more often. so probably sleeping more like 19 or so hours a day.

Depends on the baby. My son was all eat, poop & sleep. He would be awake maybe an hour in total throughout the whole day until like 8 weeks. My daughter on the other hand, is awake almost all day long. Has been this way since we brought her home from the hospital ! She's a curious one.

Carson is sleeping like that too.

They will sleep for 18-20hrs a day..around 6wks you'll notice them being awake more..around then is when you want to try to keep them awake more during the day vs at night. They will just get more and more alert from there......

my daughter slept all the time up until she was about a week and a half old, now shes awake all the time! lol
