Breastfeeding, and binky!

My son is fixin to be 6 weeks and im breastfeeding only for right now but at night he likes using my nipple as a pacie and its really inconvient!! Is there any pacifiers you recomend for a breast fed baby???

We use soothies pacifiers. You could buy them at walmart before but I haven't seen them there.
And we're down to just one left

we use the orthodontic nipples because they support breastfeeding and are shaped like the breast when he is feeding.  

I used soothies at first for my son .. but gerber makes a round one with a more flexible nipple on it.. and my son won't take anything else..

i'm sorry he is using ur nip has a pacifier. mine did, but only a few weeks and grew out of it. thank god. with my kid he never had nipple confusion. he could go from paci to bottle to breast no prob. but i recently received this playtex paci and it supposedly mimics the mothers nipple to avoid nipple confusion. my son hates it he doesnt know how to suck on it. he uses a regular paci better. but he's not much of a paci kid anyways.

My kids have all used different binkies, and none had any nipple confusion. In the nicu they gave the twins soothies. My first liked Nuk's, and my 2nd and 3rd would only use Mam style binkies. They all hated the rubber ones, in favor of silicone though.

My babies take the Nuks

When my girlfriend was breastfeeding we used the nuk pacifiers...didn't seem to interfere with her breastfeeding at all. Charlie still prefers the nuks.

I use soothies, and I'm about to buy some gumdrops. Gumdrops are the same as the soothies, only lighter weight and shaped like the babies face with the nose cut-out. Easier to stay in!

Do you use the soothie bottles too? they also have a sippy cup! it's awesome.

Do they reallly cause we use both soothie bottles and pacis thast might be a good sippy to use when we take away the bottle

yeah! we just found one at kmart and Charlie loves it! it comes with a nipple like the bottle and anther sippy top so they can get used to using it with the regular nipple then switch to the sippy top.

I started with Soothies for my daughter... but they kept falling out of her mouth and she would get really frustrated. So my mom told me to use the Nuk paci's... and they are GREAT! She loves them! And they are better for when their teeth grow in! My daughter is breastfed, and she does not get confused at all!

No bottles, but when gets one, I'm going to use breast flow. Best bottles I've ever seen!!
