Embilical cord

What are signs that tell you its going to fall off? Because I told the doctor today that it was smelly and it had discharge and he said it was because its about ready to fall off.....which I knoticed this morning that it is loose.

How many days old is she?

Took my sons like 10 days or so.

it was almost 2 weeks before Morgan's fell off.

Can they fall off earlier then 2 weeks or no?

Okay so im not the only one...well maybe but it looks like it can fall off any day now.

Allie's fell off at 18 days old. It took forever it seemed like!

Really? thats young. I wounder if it matters if the baby has a inny or outty belly button that it falls off sooner.

Yeah it just depends. Some babies have a thicker umbilical cord than others. Jaxon's was all floppy one day, then he woke up at like 4am one morning & it wasn't there! I eventually found it on the bed after I changed him lol.

My girl is 16 days and she still has hers, but its hanging by a thread lol
