old wives tale

Ok so I'm just wondering how many of you are familiar with the ring tied to a string over the belly button story. There are so many variations. Anyone use it and have it be right? I've always heard if it's back and forth its a boy, around in a circle its a girl. Let me know what you've heard or any other interesting old wives tales!

my friends mom did it to me and it was right!

we did that. it went around in a circle with my first, and i ended up having a boy. Lol. I don't believe in that crap. I go with my gut. & my gut said boy and says a boy this time too. (ultrasound confirmed its another boy too)

I've heard basically the same thing, but with dangling a pencil attached to a thread over the inside of your wrist.
It told me I'm having a boy...which I am. But I mean, you have a 50/50 shot either way...

a friend did it to my boyfriend's wrist (she had heard that it's over the wrist and it works on the mom or dad, i was at work) and it circled meaning i'd have a girl, and it was right!

all the wives tales that i did all turned out boy.. and thats exactly what im having...

according to the chinese calender... the drano test (which stinks like hamster droppings), and the ring over the belly thing even the intellgender al pointed to boy...

I don't actually believe the wives tale things, but they have been oddly accurate with me haha. I did the ring thing and the chinese calendar. They both said boy. I also did the intelligender, and it said I was having a boy too. I'm definitely having a boy. If not, I'm worried haha.

Oh wow...the draino test? How does that one work? I know you pour it in your pee, but what are the colors?

I did the version with the pencil and the string over your wrist. This is my fourth baby and it has been right with every one. When I did it the pencil would swing back and forth then stop and start swinging back and forth again and then stop and then swing back and forth again and then stop and then go in a circle then just stop and do nothing else. I have three boys and just found out yesterday I am having a girl. We also did it on my friend and both of hers were right. So it worked for me, but I have heard from other people that it didn't so I don't know.

I threaded a needle and stuck the needle in the eraser of a pencil and then hung it over my wrist. If it swings back and forth it is a boy and in a circle for a girl. It is suppose to tell you how many kids and the gender in order.

Im gonna try that, I already have 2 girls, so I'll be interested to see if it works!

make sure you use a old jar that u are going to thru away.. and google it cuz u have to buy a specific drano brand.. but if its dark its a boy, and if it was like green or sumthing it was a girl..
